Simply put, the challenge is to eat 6 Saltines in one sitting, without drinking any water – crumbs included. Again, sounds easy, right? Wrong. The Saltines exhaust all saliva in the mouth, making the crackers very difficult to swallow. Much spitting out of half-chewed crackers ensues.

I’m a frequent reader over at Mike Davidson’s blog and I came across an interesting post I’d like to share with all of you. This is known as "The Saltine Challenge". The Saltine Challenge is basically attempting to consume a total of six saltine In all the times we presented the challenge, we never had anyone who was able to do it (and we won tons of free meals and free drinks in the process!). You most likely have the supplies on hand, a box of saltine crackers (salted, not unsalted), a timer, and some willing participants.
